HerHaven Home Services

Most falls at home happen in the bathroom, and most of them are preventable with a few well-placed changes. A grab bar screwed into drywall alone is worse than no grab bar at all, because it gives someone confidence it cannot support. We fit into blocking or studs, every time.

What to expect

We walk the home with you or your parent and point out what we would change and in what order, honestly, including the things that cost nothing. Then we fit only what you want. Our technicians are trained to work patiently and respectfully with older adults, and we explain what we are doing as we go.

Common questions

Can a grab bar go anywhere? No, and this matters. It has to anchor into a stud or into blocking behind the wall. We locate solid structure first and will tell you if a position is not safe.
Can you do a whole-home safety check?Yes. We will walk through room by room and give you a written list, in priority order, with no obligation.
Can adult children arrange and pay from out of town?Yes, this is very common. We can coordinate with you by phone and email and keep you updated throughout.
Do you install ramps?Yes, we install and repair ramps and exterior handrails.
